Wenn es reif ist, ist es äußerst süß, saftig und zart. Valencia-Orangen werden hauptsächlich zum Entsaften verwendet, aber auch zum Frischessen

Blutorangen sind kleine bis mittelgroße Orangen mit Formen von perfekt rund bis länglich. Die leuchtend orangefarbene Haut dieser Blutorange ist häufig von einem tiefroten Schimmer gefärbt.
